Kayaking Gear Advice & Know-How?
1. Sea Kayaking gear – I won’t own a boat for a while, but would like recommendations for rescue equipment (throw ropes, tow lines, rescue PFD’s), types of paddles and boats you like most, types of sprayskirts you like most…anything else you think is essential other than dry bags.
2. Whitewater – love it. Looking to buy an affordable helmet and sprayskirt that will last for years. Neoprene skirt is out. Recommendations?
3. Resources for learning everything there is to know about sea kayaks (shape, length, type), navigating on the ocean, tides, stuff guides and experts know. Books too.
I want to know the ins and outs of kayaks. I have a decent knowledge on whitewater – would like to know more about sea. Enlighten me.
