Scuba Diving Mask tips?
I’m planning on buying a diving mask(finally, so i don’t have to rent one) and i was wondering, which is better, a mask WITHOUT a purge valve or one WITH?
which one is easier to clear the water from (like when you are suppose to retrieve your mask and put it back on)?

Having one with a purge may make it easier fo a no hands mask clearing for small mask floods ( not always the case) but, it’s also a device that can malfunction. Debris can get stuck under the valve seat causing it to leak. That area can be tricky to clean too. Mould likes to accumulate there.
I’ve owned both purges and non purges. I’ve finally found a non purge that fits so well that I rarely if ever need to clear it so, my vote is to lean towards the best fitting non purge you can find. One less thing to potentially cause a distraction or go wrong and they’re usually a little cheaper than the same mask model that’s fitted with a purge.
